Detailed procedure
Depending on the current status of WHM within the enterprise, various methods can be used to carry out an initial analysis of the situation in advance (please click to enlarge the graphic):

Self-test
Goal: Rough analysis of current situation. Straightforward systematic assessment of existing strengths and areas where there is scope for improvement.
To the online self-test (in german, french or italian)
Workshop
Goals:
Senior management commitment Identification of strengths and scope for improvement
Increasing senior management awareness of goals and purpose
Benefits and form of workplace health management
Discussion and evaluation of current WHM efforts.
Assessment
An assessment is a systematic analysis of current activities in the area of workplace health management.
Two types of assessment are to be distinguished:
1. self-assessment (internal)
2. label assessment (by an external assessor).
Self-assessment provides a basis for the label assessment. It ensures that the label assessment conducted by external assessors is sufficiently detailed and consistent.
1. Self-assessment (with checklist)
For the self-assessment, a checklist is available online (Downloads). The checklist is also integrated in the online Assessment Tool.
The checklist was developed to help enterprises to assess the status and quality of workplace health management in accordance with the WHM criteria.
The checklist provides a clear framework for determining the current position and offers a sound approach for identifying strengths and scope for improvement.
2. External label assessment
External assessors, acting on behalf of Health Promotion Switzerland, evaluate the status of implementation of WHM according to the WHM criteria and provide a recommendation on whether the requirements for the label are met.
